From 25 January to 30 March 2025, MAMbo - Museo d'Arte Moderna di Bologna of the Civic Museums Sector of Bologna presents the exhibition CAROL RAMA. Unique Multiples, curated by Elena Re, an exhibition project created on the occasion of Arte Fiera, at the Villa delle Rose venue.

Specifically conceived and created for the exhibition spaces of Villa delle Rose, CAROL RAMA. Unique Multiples intends to highlight the important corpus of multiples produced by Carol Rama between 1993 and 2005 with Franco Masoero Edizioni d'Arte - Turin and coming from the Franco Masoero and Alexandra Wetzel Collection. In this very intense experience, lasting many years, exploring the multiple the artist has retraced all the great themes that make up her world, and the exhibition intends to cross these same territories. Carol Rama's life and passions therefore come on stage. From one room to another, characters, seductions, fetishes, idylls alternate and reconstruct a story. At the same time, these figures are the fruit of a powerful alchemy born from the encounter between technical knowledge and poetic dimension. In fact, this engraved work reveals the great complicity with the publisher-printer, who has left the artist all the space for an unbridled expressiveness, free of rules. And so, Unique Multiples - unique multiples. Multiples conceived by the artist with the same intensity as the unique pieces. For this reason, the same subject is sometimes proposed in the exhibition with a pictorial intervention made by hand on the printed sheet, or is placed next to a test specimen, to be captured in the singularity of each of its declinations. The multiplied art thus escapes from every scheme and becomes a testimony of Carol Rama's infinite freedom.
